In my brand design work, I often began by curating a collection of reference images to shape the overall aesthetic and narrative of the product. The aim was not just to design an item, but to craft an entire world around it—one that resonates emotionally with the audience and sparks desire. By gathering images that evoke the right mood, highlight material qualities, and showcase the product in context, I helped create a rich visual landscape to pair with each product.
This process goes beyond functional design; it’s about building an environment where the product feels not only desirable, but essential.
These thoughtfully selected references played a pivotal role in defining the identity of Lateral Objects as a sleek, vibrant, and bold brand with a playful retro flair. Guided by this curated visual library, we were able to integrate our products seamlessly into the lifestyle they are designed to elevate, crafting an immersive experience that sparks the imagination and invites people into our world.
