Lu Agnew is a nonbinary, Chilean-American artist, designer, and thinker with a double degree from UC Berkeley in Philosophy and Art Practice.

With many years of experience in professional creative spaces, Lu has developed a wide array of skills. From using generative AI to create illustrations at a tech start up, to working on set with big name clients like Chanel and Hugo Boss as a design intern, they are always looking to take on new creative projects. They regularly design graphics, websites, and social media content for freelance clients, often incorporating animations and short form videos to enhance appeal. With a knack for taking on new creative technologies, Lu never shys away from a design problem that interests them.

In addition to these professional pursuits, Lu also maintains their own art practice. As a genderqueer person raised in a conservative Midwestern town, they have always used their creative endeavors as an outlet for self-expression, working to create things that open others to something new. More specifically, Lu is interested in shedding light on what we are doing and where we are going as a society and as individuals, in order to bring attention to issues we ordinarily overlook. The human spirit, the unity of opposites, the complexities of individual identity, the strangeness of time– these are all topics that inspire their work.
